Past Continuous Tense

(WAS/WERE) 

Past Continuous Tense में Past में  कोई  क्रिया जारी रहती थी।
पहचान - हिन्‍दी वाक्‍यों के अंत में  रहा था, रही थी, रहे थी रहे थे इत्‍यादि आते है। जैसे मैैं पढ रहा था। वह खेल रहा था। वे लिख रहे थे। 
  
A) I, He,She,it,Name,Singular Subject के साथ Was का प्रयोग करते है। 
B) You, They, We, Plural Subject के साथ Were का प्रयोग करते है।


A)  Affirmative Sentence:-

Subject + was / were +V 1st Form +ing + Object + ow.

1) You were going to office.
आप ऑफिस जा रहे थे। 
2) You were going to market.
आप बाजार जा रहे थे। 
3) They were going to market.
वे बाजार जा रहेे थे।  
4) We were going to market.
हम बाजार जा रहे थे। 
5) Ram and sonu were going to market.
राम और सोनू बाजार जा रहे थे। 
6) She was going to market.
वह बाजार जा रही थी। 
7) He was going to market.
वह बाजार जा रहा था। 
8) Ram was going to market.
राम बाजार जा रहा था। 
9) Your father was going to office.
तुम्‍हारे पिताजी ऑफिस जा रहे थे। 
10) Your mother was going to office.
तुम्‍हारी माताजी ऑफिस जा रही थी। 
11) Your sister was going to market.
तुम्‍हारी बहन बाजार जा रही थी।
12) I was going to market.
मैं बाजार जा रहा था।

B)  Negative Sentence:-

Subject + was / were +V 1st Form +ing + Object + ow.

1) You were not going to office.
आप ऑफिस नहीं जा रहे थे। 
2) You were not going to market.
आप बाजार नहीं जा रहे थे। 
3) They were not going to market.
वे बाजार नहीं जा रहे थे। 
4) We were not going to market.
हम बाजार नहीं जा रहे थे। 
5) Ram and sonu were not going to market.
राम और सोनू बाजार नहीं जा रहे थे। 
6) She was not going to market.
वह बाजार नहीं जा रही थी। 
7) He was not going to market.
वह बाजार नहीं जा रही थी। 
8) Ram was not going to market.
राम बाजार नहीं जा रहा था। 
9) Your father was not going to office.
तुम्‍हारे पिताजी ऑफिस नहीं जा रहे थे। 
10) Your mother was not going to office.
तुम्‍हारी माताजी ऑफिस नहीं जा रही थी। 
11) Your sister was not going to market.
तुम्‍हारी बहन बाजार नहीं जा रही थी।
12) I was not going to market.
मैं बाजार नहीं जा रहा था।

C)  Interrogative Sentence:-

was / were +Subject + V 1st Form +ing + Object + ow ?

1) were you going to office? 
क्‍या आप ऑफिस जा रहे थे ?
2) were you going to market ?
क्‍या आप बाजार जा रहे थे ?
3) were they going to market?
क्‍या  वे बाजार जा रहे थे ?
